In this world of Malls and large super stores it is refreshing to be able to find a store that has kept its soul. What do I mean by that? Well, it is highly unlikely to walk into a large store and to be greeted by the business owner with a smile and all the helpful advice you could need. The Bicycle doctor on the other hand is exactly that.
For the last few months I had decided to invest in a new bike, but I really wasn't sure what to go for. Having been to Halfords and Evans Cycles which are large national companies I happened upon a bike shop in Manchester near to where I work.
Straight away upon entering the premises I was greeted by Mo the owner and he listened to the requirements I had for the next bicycle I was going to purchase. He pointed me in the right direction and I was able to test out a couple of bikes that I liked, before even deciding to purchase. The customer service and general feel of the place helped me to decide to purchase form there. I knew if I needed to come back for anything else I would be warmly welcomed.
I went for a Whyte hybrid in the end due to the fact that I'd be both commuting and using for recreation. I am also going to take in my 15-year-old Muddy Fox for a service since it is in need of some TLC.
Over all, I can highly recommend the guys at the bicycle doctor for the bikes they sell, the advice they offer and the warm and friendly service they provide.
