So I have been an avid biker for a few years now. I have a nice bike and know how to maintain it and I'm rather comfortable in a bike shop. I stopped by the Rochester Bike Shop to pick up a few items and I must say, RUDE RUDE RUDE. I was there a good 20 minutes and after I asked the 3rd person for some help I ended up finding what I needed on my own. I did purchase it, I was new to the area and didnt know were else to go. It was not busy in the shop in fact I was the only person in there shopping. I also noted that there are a few frames hanging on the walls so I asked who was the racer in the shop and was told "I dont race I just work here". Wow really? Stay away from this place if you really need some help. If you live in the parking lot and need a bottle of chain lube then maybe grab it there but if not try KLM a mile or so away. Service is great and if they dont have it they can get it.
This is a great shop right in Down town Rochester. The guys know there S*** about bikes. And take the time to listen to what you want and find you the bike you want. Seem to be able to fix anything to.( bent middle chain ring !!!!)
You must work there. I do know know any of the people I ride with that have had this experience with this shop. I did ask for recommendations from the local IMBA chapter members when I got here and no one recommended this shop.
Staff is rude and always busy.
