I agree with the others that while there aren't many options in town, the Merc doesn't take advantage of you. They are great folks there and take care of their customers. We were in town on a trip and a buddy smashed his shifter pod. They took one off a new bike they had on them floor to mount up for my buddy to keep him riding. Saved his trip.
You'd be hard pressed to find a better MTB shop in a town of this size anywhere. They don't have a huge selection of bikes for sale, but they do stock plenty of parts and gear; and they provide top-notch repairs.
