Mountain Biking 10k Trail

****   Add a review
#25 of 283 mountain bike trails in New Mexico
#1,580 in the world

Starting from the TH at the parking lot, climb about 160ft along technical, loamy singletrack until it starts to cross open meadow runs at Sandia Ski Resort. Continue on and follow signage for the 10k trail. The descent is approximately 4 miles, and you can connect this to Oso Corridor, Faulty, and several others to extend riding (back to a shuttle car if you set one up). Sulphur Canyon lot is a great place to set up a lower shuttle vehicle if you end on Faulty Trail.

Lots of limestone chunky ledges. Good technical trail. The setting is in the pine trees of the Sandia mountains. Fun trail.

I love these trais--typical of the Sandias in that there's plenty of techy challenge but not much flow stringing it all together. It has a great, natural feel and cleaning certain parts is cause for celebration.

Full of chunky square edged rocks and rock gardens a plenty in a high alpine fast descent. Super fun DH.
