Mountain Biking 20th Ave
#157 of 289 mountain bike trails in Florida
The trail is mostly singletrack and has a fire road at the end. There is not much elevation change to speak of but there are some sections with roots that might pose a problem to beginners, other than that this trail is great for beginners. If you take a left instead of a right when you come out the nature sanctuary and start taking the fire road you can cross under I-75 and link this trail up with Split Rock for some more miles.

From 34th street in Gainesville, take 20th towards I-75. Go past the light and park at the soccer fields and dog park. You can ride down 20th to the entrance of the trail right behind the bus stop at the Cabana Beach apartments.
Totally overgrown, tons of standing water that appears to have been there for a while, downed trees everywhere, and no clear direction to the trail. Maintenance/re routing needed badly.
Thank |Short trail that runs around the perimeter of Cabana Beach apartments. Drop in to the trail to the left of the bus stop on 20th Ave in front of Cabana Beach. Some hills and roots to keep it interesting. It ends on a road near powerlines. Go left to hit the I 75 underpass to connect to Split Rock. This trail gets muddy with rain.
Thank |Fun trail to start learning bike handling.
Thank |Fun trail. Not too tough, but helps to develop your skill for harder rides.* Review edited 7/1/2012* Review edited 7/1/2012* Review edited 7/1/2012

Thank |Fun little trail can get tight up against the fence sometimes some parts are fairly scenic however there are lots of tight turns and roots to keep you busy
Thank |A nice urban trail in Gainesville, nothing special here just a quick after work ride that will satisfy your need to hit the trails. This is not a trail to travel to Gainesville for…if you live here ride it if you don’t than there are better options.
