Mountain Biking Richmond Hill Park

*****   Add a review
#110 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
#2,111 in the world
Five trails, in town park. One is a new half mile skills trail that is bike-only. The rest is full of pedestrians, but there aren't many places most people will be riding fast, and the two groups tend to get along well here. There is also a new small pavilion with restrooms.

This is a nice little trail system for those who want to get out for a quick ride. Lots of twisty turns. Trails are fairly flat with some descents and uphills. Good for novice riders who want to get into the sport. Right now, it has 5 miles worth of trails. The loops are short but fun, and there's so many of them!

Great ride right in town. It's my go to for an after work or before work ride.

Couldn't find the trailhead using the get directions icon on here. How do I get on it. I ride the paved rd hill where this app says it is some days when I just wanna get some exercise in & don't have time to go to bent creek or Alexander mtn.

This trail is more of a local's secret than any official mtb trail. If you are in the Asheville Area looking for riding head to Bent Creek, Pisgah or Dupont for the good stuff, but if you live in Asheville and are looking for an out the door quick evening ride Richmond Hill makes sense.

The trails are tight and winding single track with stream crossings and a few technical sections and one very technical drop into the creek. Bring your 26'r hardtail and have a blast. You'll end up doing a lot of recircling loops and it's actually a lot of fun packed in a small area.

The trails are narrow with limited visibility so watch for runners and dog walkers.
