Head ENE along country roads, following French VTT signs. After a couple of miles, turn left to reach the main road, right onto the road, then immediately left to start climbing up the ridge. There are signs for "Les Papillons d'Amarante" at the start of this tarmac climb. Follow country roads up to and along the top of the ridge, until you reach the old Eglise St Martial. The trail now turns into technical singletrack, steep in places, as it descends into the valley of the Hers. Close to the river itself, there is a signposted left turn to contine on route 9. This leads along the river, still on technical singletrack, climbing up to the top of the village of Campredon. You exit singletrack onto a tarmac road; follow it right and down into the village. As you reach the village there is a signposted left turn to stay on trail. From there it alternates singletrack with occasional tarmac to stay alongside the river Hers all the way into the village of L'Aiguillon. There the trail follows the river left and widens and takes you all the way back to Belesta and the trailhead.
