Your elderly grandmas idea of a "mountain bike trail" its a dogpark with a walking path that they forgot to add a "no bikes alowed" sign too. Wide, flat, manicured brown side walk. A perfect path for a riding your gravel bike and letting your grandma experience riding through the woods without the dangers of an actual mountian bike trail.
Thank |Very easy trail system where you can rid side by side for 90% of it. Nothing technical, but some hill climbs on the northwest corner blue (dragon) trail. Great for building up stamina. Nice landscape! Great Date night!
Thank |I started at the trailhead off Clarkston and took the Bluebird Loop to connect to Fossil Hill Loop, before reconnecting with Bluebird to finish the loop. Trails are decently maintained, but most of what I rode was 10 ft wide grass trail with some short inclines through some woods. This would be better suited for a family with young children than for even a beginner like myself.
Thank |Mostly mowed grass with some climbs but without any real descents. This trail is basically a grass/dirt road that travels through open fields. Not even close to being a mountain bike trail. Thankfully, Addison Oaks is nearby.
Thank |I'm surprised more riders don't know about this. Excellent well maintained and well marked trail system for the beginner/intermediate rider. It has something for everyone and a really good flow. The lookout hill towards the middle-back is one of the tallest points I've seen in SE Mich, and the entire ride is extremely scenic. Definitely check it out! Just don't spread the word too much. I love having this all to myself.
Thank |Grassy hilly trails looks like they are mowed weekly, has some woodsy/ rocky hills nothing too crazy. Nice views of wooded streams and the back of lake sixteen you might catch some deer, an overall fun spot close to my home
Thank |Lots of great smooth trails.
