Pic is Sweetwater summit, Sweetwater reginal is easy dirt toad with options. Summit on the other hand is like it sounds a climb. Nice part if you have the time there is a ton of area to explore and routs to choose. Summit a little overgrown. Regional is maintained
This area is a hub to many surrounding areas. Look on google earth for the lowdown. I ride from the 94 to the Sweetwater lake area. Looking forward to connecting to upper Otay. Super fun not too crazy downhills but you will have to earn it.
Trail has alot of open spaces and at times goes briefly to single tracks. The up hill climb is a good work out but the reason to come back to this trail is the fast down hill. The down hill speed technicality was GREAT and im definitely coming back to this trail.
At first I thought this trail was developed for horses by a horse person, but a trail next to barbed wire, with ravines that would require a rider to dismount leads me to believe that this is a hiking trail. It goes from beginner to expert in short spurts. As this was my first ride at this trail I watched other riders and some rode it all, some walked in areas and some turned back. A downhill ended at a barbed wire fence. A berm at that area would have made it fun. Sometimes fun, sometimes just stupid.

Thank |Awesome trail system, little washed out by the recent rains. The vegetation is high and hides the exposed rocks - ride safe

Thank |Perfect for beginners. Gravel, dirt and a few sandy spots but great view. Climbs are not too steep either. Dogs are not allowed.
