Mountain Biking Aiea Heights Loop

**   Add a review
#19 of 33 mountain bike trails in Hawaii
#7,363 in the world

This is a great singletrack loop. I am from Utah and this is one of the funnest tracks out
here on Oahu. For more info when you are here go see the boys on the North Shore at
Country Cycles.

This trail really is not for MTB. There are limited places where you can rides, narrow sections, and many obstacles requiring bike carry. Many hikers/runners on a trailer designed for hikers. Would not recommend this trail in any wet conditions due to sheer drop off along trails on bikes. Abundant tree roots make 29' / full suspension a good choice if you are going to give it a go. Trail heads have rest rooms, parking, but no services along loop.

Very difficult to do because of the single track and numerous hikers. Not bike friendly at all.

Crowded by hikers, very narrow, I thought it was horrible.

Sign posted at the entrance designating the trail as hiking only. Bikes and everything else are prohibited by law.

The trail has many uncovered roots, fallen trees, and can be muddy. I went last week and had to carry my bike many times.* Review edited 11/15/2008
