No technical stuff. But good endurance building trail. Sandy in spots, so good to ride after a rain (so the rain packs the sand down).
| ThankFrom the DNR building at 46th and 118th, the southern trail is faster and better maintained. The northern trail is slower, has more sand, and needs some love on the maintenance.
The trail is so over grown now that you can miss it and end up looking for where to reconnect to get back on it. This is not in all segments but most.
| ThankThere are actually dozens of miles of both single-track and two-track in the area. I've hiked lots and biked some, and it all has a real wilderness appeal, but doesn't have any of the flare of more "traditional" mtb trails.
| ThankThis trail is a local treasure, beautiful, overgrown, thorny, confusing and fun. If you'd like to have fast flowing singletrack straight from the lords rear, look other places. If you want an adventure and plenty of opportunities to explore, see nature and wildlife, get lost and take some nice photos, then this is a good place to meditate and enjoy life. It's not Custer or Yankee. It's not Poto or Upper Macatawa. It's the ASGA and it isn't trying to be anything else.
