Mountain Biking Alyeska Downhill

****   Add a review
#2 of 65 mountain bike trails in Alaska
#471 in the world

Alaska's first chair lift/tram assisted downhill trails. There is a $35 all day lift fee. There are several trails to choose from and 4 lift options available. They are fast, rock and root filled downhill insanity! Body armor is almost a must! Check Alyeska's web site to see which lifts are running @ http://www.alyeskaresort.com/mountain/downhill-mountain-biking.aspx

Alyeska DH race. Soft snow. Good news is the lower mountain should open early this year (that's the rumor!!)

Great, fun downhill single track. The locals work really hard on carving new trails so there is something for everyone. You can rent a bike and armour if you need it and they'll throw in a free lesson / guide at the same time which is a great deal if you're travelling without your bike.

Good riding. Service is the worst. From the sitzmark to the tram employees will make it abundantly obvious that its a privilege for you to be there. I have been a downhill guide in New Zealand, Whistler many times, 5 years in Utah for the riding. Regrettably went to Alyeska 2 times this summer for the same results. Never again for this DH rider.
