Androscoggin Riverlands State Park is a 2,675-acre expanse with 12 miles of river frontage. There is an extensive network of singletrack and doubletrack trails. The doubletrack is shared with ATVs, and the single track is classic New England roots & rocks with elevation changes. There are several riding options, made up of long single track trails and connecting double track.
Excellent choice of terrain for all levels. Technical singletrack with many rocks/roots and decent elevation changes or wide ATV trails. Good riding and good work out for sure. Scenic trail along river as well if you like.
Thank |Fun XC on long trails, with decent elevation changes. There are some decent flowing sections, but most of it is roots & rocks traversal. The gnarliest trails were actually the doubletrack ATV trails, which were mostly made up of 4-5" diameter loose rocks and sand. You'd come out of a downhill section, avoiding the loose rocks and hit pure sand - it was interesting.
From the northern trailhead, I went south about 2/3 length of the park, before catching the loop back. You can spend time out here in the network.
All in all, a good day of riding.
