#11 of 141 mountain bike trails in Vermont

It is a Mountain so lots of climbing, but the downhills make it worth it. The trails are well marked.

Wow. I just rode Ascutney trails during a two-day mind bender trip that included Okemo and Woodstock ,Vermont.
But I really liked Ascutney trails.
First I rode the ski tow side which was decent. Then I decided to check out the town forest side on coaching lane...Holy crap those are some nice trails...rock gardens galore, techy death sections(where the trail hugs a steep fall line) and smooth flowy runs make Ascutney a diamond in the rough in Central Vermont.
If you come up here make sure you try the Harpoon tasting room nearby in Windsor.
    Badass!

There's something for everyone here. A fair amount of easy, and intermediate. Additionally, probably 30% or so is expert. Lots of fun, well marked trails. Spend the $8 and buy a map. Trails were well maintained and easily find trailhead parking. If you're in the area, give'em a spin, you'll be happy you did.

Favorite in the area! Something for everyone. Seems like you are always going up, but there are great downhill sections.
