From Townsend Avenue, turn left onto W Main Street and continue straight onto CO-90 W/W Main Street. Follow CO-90 W-- left turn in 1.8 miles, right turn in 1 mile, left turns in .9 miles, 2.1 miles, and 2.2 miles. Stay on CO-90W for 15 miles. Approximately .2 miles after the intersection with Divide Road (on the left), turn left onto FSR 549. Drive approximately 2 miles to a large field and park. Ride approximately 1/2 mile up the road and look for a gate to the Aspen loop trail on the right.

A sweet short loop to start the day after a lovely night camping. If you ride it clockwise the climbs and the descents are only average, but counter clockwise this trail sings.
