Mountain Biking Aynes Loop
#70 of 105 mountain bike trails in Indiana
Going clockwise from the Green Valley Trail intersection, the trail slowly winds up the ridge on a gradual climb. The climb does get steeper and more technical as riders near the top, but most intermediate riders could clean the majority of the ascent. After passing by the more difficult Bobcat Loop, the tread turns downhill and things get rowdy really fast. Expect tight, smooth, fast singletrack featuring an occasional rock garden, rock slab, or log hop. Enjoy!

From the Hesitation Point Trailhead at Brown County State Park (see the trail system's main page for directions to the park), bomb down the Hesitation Point Trail. You can either take a right here or head down to the Green Valley Trail intersection and turn right there.
Aynes is definitely one of my favorite trails in the park. Although the climb can get tough, it's just easy enough for most intermediate riders to get by and gives you a good sense of accomplishment. As for the descent, expect some awesome riding back down the ridge with some technical features to keep you on your toes.
