The trail is up and down hills with lots of twists and turns three wooded and grassy hilled and vallied areas the path is Nero with hills that will test your patel strangth and down hills that are good for beginners and intermediate riders that will bring you down in to tyrns and straight in to up hill climbs no jumps on this trail and no man made attributes but the trail will weave you in and out of wooded ares and the loss hills and keep you entertained I belive it to be at least five miles
A lot of this trail could be handled by beginners but there are some sizable drops and here and there that will keep the adrenaline up, especially in the southeast corner where much of the terrain is intermediate with a dab of advanced here and there. Its a good long loop around the lake of flowy single track with lots of places to get out to the street and get your bearings. A very cool and well maintained trail overall. The only thing I could think to add would be some signage to mark the trail-heads.
Thank |By the way, I see that it was labeled as beginner level which which I think it's actually more of intermediate level.

Thank |Now I upgraded this to five stars. Thank you for taking care the issues around the trails and it's much better! I enjoyed it a lot today. :-)
Thank |I just had to downgrade to 3 for now due to that some area needed some maintenance attention, some overgrown grass and itching plants. One big tree fall over which blocked a nice roller coaster trail which could be safety issue. I had to take detour thru itching plants which made my lower legs somewhat unbearable itchy.
Thank |A fun gem in NE Iowa. Fun and flowly, very few log jumps. Will definitely return. Enjoyed very much. Well maintained and mowed.
Thank |This trail is a blast and the best trail that I have found so far in the Sioux Falls/Sioux City area. No man-made features but there are enough hills and roots to keep you on your toes. The east side of the lake, where the trail begins is a lot of tight winding single track with sudden climbs, switchbacks and roots. As you get to the north side of the lake, the trail is more rolling with longer but less steep hill climbs where you are rewarded with long downhills for your efforts. I thoroughly enjoyed this trail from start to finish. I will definitely be making as many trips from Sioux Falls as possible to ride this trail. Whoever maintains the trail does a great job of keeping it in shape.
Thank |The trail was dried and hardened but had a great time.
Thank |Great flowing trail in a very nice park. Often risen and well taken care of, this trail has such a good flow, it also stays rarely close to a nice paved bike path at all times, few spots to get airborne but all is rideable, some easier sections and harder sections, the best sections are the first 2 starting to your right when you enter the park. Tons of parking and also a nice lake and restrooms. A few logs down but they get cleaned up every week, also mowed in spots weekly. Sadly no features :(
Thank |Enjoyed this a lot and I am impressed! It has all kind of challenges and fun. I definitely will come here occasionally even it's an hour drive from my home.
Thank |Great Flow, it was fast and dry on 3/9/16.
Not much for tech or obstacles but quality built single track. Good elevation changes!!
*to find trail head pay attention as you turn into the park (big bacon creek sign) the trail starts there on your right or to the east...the trail runs along the fence going north before it turns into the woods...
Good Times!!
Thank |There is nothing like riding purpose-buillt singletrack. This trail was designed for mountain biking, and it shows. Fun!
Thank |Some good wooded sections. Some nice open areas. And some trail alongside the cows grazing in the pasture. The sunrise is great from the high prairie at the western side.
Lots of good flow. Areas where carrying speed gets you back up the hill. All in all a real good trail system. Some short but tough punchy climbs.
Very well maintained and fun trails. Not very technical, but plenty of elevation changes, and winding flow. They could use some signs at the intersections of single track and paved trails. It gets a little confusing. Also, I think they've added some distance. I clicked almost seven miles.
Thank |Just a beautiful ride in the hills. Typical reservoir surroundings, so there's a nice trail up and down through the hills above the lake. All pretty smooth, some good steep climbs but the big hills have relatively easy grades, followed by fast blast down. Plenty of tough challenging climbs.
Thank |Awesome piece of land! smooth decent flow nice scenery weather you wanna ride it fast like it allows or take it slow and enjoy the wildlife. watch out for deer! They're not afraid of humans literally almost hit three on trail they didn't walk more than 20 yards where the trail loops back towards them where I enjoyed watching them from less than 15 yrds!! What an enjoyable ride! Only down fall is I wish it had tech sections. It's a single 6.25 mile loop... this place has so much potential and room to expand!
Thank |The best trial on this side of iowa!!!
