A lot has changed on this trail network since Jeff first road it back in 2009. Through efforts of the local NICA team and other volunteers, Bartram now boasts 7.5 miles of singletrack that has old school, hand built sections as well as machine built flow trails. With a new trail head kiosk, maps and waypoint markers throughout the network, these trails have now become accessible to anyone wanting to ride, run or hike the area. There are 3 marked loops now. The Green loop is 5.5 miles of pure beginner friendly (but not boring) trails. The Blue loop incorporates the trails from the Green loop and adds in the old school trails to bring the total mileage to 7.5 miles. The Red loop throws everything Bartram has to offer. It pieces together both singletrack sections in different ways from the Blue and Green loops, letting you ride the most fun segments in the direction they were built to flow the best and adds in some forest roads to incorporate more climbs and some fast downhills. There is also a connector trail now that leads over to Selma Erwin Nature Preserve Trails. Riding both trails in one loop gives about 20 miles and one heck of a workout.
