Mountain Biking Basic Training Skills Trail
#53 of 105 mountain bike trails in Indiana
The eastern side of this trail is the "Little Kids Loop", a wide, flat, curving trail perfect for learning how to ride corners and find lines. The trail meanders through a meadow and at the end either a sharp left closes the Little Kids Loop or continuing straight the trail gives way to narrow singletrack and a sudden, short uphill that begins the "Big Kids Loop," a winding bench-cut trail with many short up and downhill segments and berm-turns built along several small ridges. There are 11 wooden features, mostly skinnies (6 on Little Kids, 5 on Big Kids) that progressively become more difficult along the totality of the Basic Training Skills Trail.

Wow! This "basic" training area is cool! Even for experienced riders... It is split into two areas, the "little" kids trail and the "big kids trail. Combined, the 1-mile loop is a perfect warm-up for the rest of the park... and you can ride with your kids, not matter how old or how skilled! There are cool, progressive riding features, and the staff has added some nice picnic benches, swings, etc for parents to watch their little ones. Don't miss this one!
Thank |This is a fun little trail with something for everyone including the kids.
