This is one of my favorite trails in the area. I come to visit a few times a year and try to make a point of riding the trail each time I come. I have started at the bottom rode to the top and back down and it was quite the workout, but very rewarding. Every time I finish it leaves me wishing I could do it again. I will tell you, I prefer to ride this trail earlier in the summer, though it seems like you deal with more down trees. The grass gets to be quite tall towards the end of summer and always fills my socks with tons of seeds. There are sections you can really fly. With that being said, watch for rocks and tree stumps in the grass. They have caused more than one crash for our group. Overall this is a great trail.

This is a great trail, even after part of the upper section was heli-logged for a few summers. The last part of the bottom section has been completely rehabbed and totally rideable now. I have been riding this trail for around 20 years and its still one of my favorites. Mostly downhill, not terribly rocky and has great flow. The trail can be a little hard to find in the logged section but after a few seasons the route should become very obvious. I highly recommend this trail.

After being closed for logging, the Bench trail is again ready to ride. Part of the trail is still under rehab, but a short (~2mi) detour on logging road bypasses the sections that are torn up. The contractor is about 1/2 done with the rehab. Next year it will be a sweet single track again.
