Mountain Biking Bendix Woods

****   Add a review
#33 of 105 mountain bike trails in Indiana
#3,094 in the world

A fun ride through a big tree forest. The trail starts with a bang with the intermediate section of approximately 2 miles. It then settles into a twisting ride through the woods with a 2.5 mile beginner section. The trail will keep you on your toes. It also crosses the park road in several places, so keep your eyes open as you cross the road.

Trail was in great shape. Dry and fast. One of the best locations in nw indiana to dial in your bike.

Love this trail for the simplicity. No brainer navigation. Nice for time trials.

At the time we were on the track it it was thoroughly covered by leaves which made it pretty difficult to navigate. It is a fairly new trail that is lightly run so the tracks are pretty narrow and not as well defined as other tracks. It was an "OK" track; tightly winding through the trees, no steep climbs, only a few obstacles. Not a very technical trail. Pretty easy going, nothing that I (a beginner/intermediate) found too challenging. Would like to give it a second shot at a time with less leaves.

Twisty single track. No big hills. Well marked, fun trail.

I rode Bendix for the first time last evening. Not what you expext to find in northern Indiana! Fairly hilly, fun trail. A little bumpy because of alot of roots, but they add character. The roots keep you at a little slower pace. A few technical spots that are fun. Several road and trail crossings but very well marked! Fun ride!

Fun network of trails here. We stopped by on the way east from Colorado and had a blast cruising around the trails. Fun, smooth singletrack that snakes through the forest. Nice and straightforward, well marked, fun trails. Definitely worth a stop if you're around. Shows you don't need mountains to mountain bike.

The trail is relatively new and therefore is a little bumpy. There are numerous road crossings and other walking trails that cross the singletrack but it is easy to know which trail you should be on. The trail is narrow that winds around and will run you between close trees on either side of you. There isn't very much elevation change, This trail is a scenic ride through dense woods. I found it quite enjoyable and will be back.

Nothing very technical here, but still a fun ride. Close trees kept me from going too fast. Definitely a sit and pedal track.
