Getting there
Southern State Parkway to Bethpage State Parkway. Go to main picnic area parking lot. There is an 8.00 parkingy fee. If you want a warm up for the single track you can take the paved bike path from Sunrise Highway in Massapequa to Bethpage State Park...its a 16 mile round trip. It gets a little hilly when you enter the park.. Once in the parking lot at the end of the trail go to your left and you can pick up the single track at the end of the lot.

A one way singletrack rollercoaster one of the most fun trails on LI.

Good trail system in the park surrounding the picnic area. Not alot of speed but really techy stuff here and there.

Pretty fun beginner trail. Lots of tight turns, some little ups and downs, a few easy roots and log-overs. A fun non-technical workout for more intermediate riders with a good amount of trails, a lot are really short, and a few had a good amount of walkers/dogs on the weekend. The Brickyard segment on Strava (aqua blaze) was the most challenging trail I've found there and the yellow/blue dot and yellow/red dot blazed trails were fun as well.

Trail Forks has a decent map.

Some areas of bethpage are intermediate, if you go around this time of the year better use a fat bike since there's snow and plenty of mud on the ground

Today was my first thorough exploration of the brickyard. Its a relatively short trail(took me about 10 minutes or so from start to finish). Very steep long climbs and decents(compared to meadowlark which is rated intermediate compared to the black diamond rating of the brickyard). Saw my life pass before my eyes more than 1 time although i did hit the loop 3x. 4/5 stars for 2 reasons. 1-in a couple of spots the climbs were impssible due to loose gravel/sand-no one can climb them fully without dismounting and 2-it was too short, personally i prefer a longer loop. Definitely worth checking out.

Trails are very hard and poorly marked. They contain little to no technical features. There are some spots which are overgrown. Great for beginners and first time riders.

    I love Bethpage!
Many different trails. Pretty clearly marked. So many sights and ranges of difficulty.
    Parking is easy.

Really great network of trails. A great range of technical ability. They closed off some of the trails near the official parking lot but there are plenty of great trails all around.

Fantastic trail for the middle of Long Island. Trails aren't clearly marked, but they don't need to be because there are a ton. Tip: It's not that easy to get lost, but bring your iPhone just in case. If you download the MapMyRun app you can track your time mileage, and find your way back to the parking lot.

Great network riding. No markings but hard to get lost. Some nice technical stuff to be found here. Can connect easily to Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt trail.

This is the first trail I learned to ride on ! Lived in Plainview and you can actually find free parking along the route.

I was recently back and borrowed a friends bike to hit the trails again. It has improved so much more over the years.
