#28 of 293 mountain bike trails in Pennsylvania
#1,430 in the world

Mostly single track trails that run between the rail road tracks on the south/ west side of the river, over pawlings road and along the north/ east side of the river.

To get to the trail head. From parking lot, get on paved Schuylkill River Trail westbound. Proceed approximately half mile to the break in the fence on the left.

Getting there
Several places to park. The easiest is probably the River Trail log on Pawlings Road
east of Phoenixville, PA. From Rt 23 turn on to Pawlings Rd. Approximately 2
miles later you'll cross the Schulykill River. The lot will be on your right.

You have to ride some gravel paths to find the trails. I was able to put together 9 or so miles. Some log crossings and lack of maintenance along the ridge lines but still enjoyable. After heavier rains low lying areas near ponds and river are muddy. No steep climbs or lung busters. Great place for a quick after work ride.

I prefer to go through the creeks and standing water, but you can get around some of it. I've also been going for a long time (20 years) and still enjoy all of the trails.

Decent technical ride on very extensive trail network. Trails are well kept and accessible from multiple parking areas.

Fun trail, we enjoyed it. The trail was windy through the woods, it was pretty neat and fast. Not to many hills, overall pretty flat. There were a couple of logs to jump, nothing to hard. We also saw a drop or two, which kept our attention. Overall probably a low 4, nice for hardtails and beginners to intermediates. Not advanced as stated, but nice and comformable
