Mountain Biking Big Creek Nature Trail

*****   Add a review
#250 of 403 mountain bike trails in Georgia
#7,413 in the world

Big Creek Nature Trail itself is only about 1 mile long, however, the trail connects to a longer one that goes all the way around the lake, making it about a 4 mile loop in total. Nice wide "fire-break" type trail, mostly flat with no roots, rocks, or other obstacles. The biggest hazard is pine needles which can be quite slippery if taking a corner too fast. Trail goes through pine forests and swamp land. The swampy areas have board walks over the mud - which get slippery when wet. An easy double track cross country trail that is quite beautiful.

In the words of my children, "This trail is a five - if you are looking for a leisurely, Sunday afternoon, old man ride."
