Mountain Biking Berm Trail

****   Add a review
#275 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
#3,605 in the world

This is a very fast hairy track it is hella fun though, has a lot of rocks and rain routs, and it has patches of sand. Their are hell of birms though and it is so worth the hike to get there. Irecomend atleast 4 inches of front travel, rear travel is good but a heavy bike is a pain to ride or dare i say hike up to the top of the trail.

The area is scorched from fires earlier this year, the trail needs work but I believe the powers that be frown upon this particular trail... probably because its fun to ride. The dirt was sticky/tacky when I went and it made for tough climbing to the top. The trail itself is a blast and It's a shame there aren't more like it in the area.

Ride Lime Ridge a lot. Stopped riding this particular trail due to the rangers that hangout at the bottom of the route handing out tickets. You'd think they'd be interested more in the vandals and perps breaking into cars in the parking lot. Too bad cause this run is pretty fun especially when coming down from the peak above the water storage tower.

I've ridden here a few times in that past month and has been pretty decent riding. The single track that starts on the west side at the top of the hill is pretty fun and there is still some jumps lingering around that can be hit if you're willing to explore

grammer aside, this is a great place to ride. but it is called mach 5 and it is in lime ridge. i rode there about a year ago and rangers have really locked that place down. starting seeing a lot of rangers patrolling, and they put boulders in the middle of the trail as well as uprooting bushes and laying them on the trail. rangers do more destruction than we do...
