Mountain Biking Black Oak

****   Add a review
#11 of 308 mountain bike trails in Ontario
#945 in the world

2 loops -South & North
fast flowing, winding single track, well laid out & maintained. Beginner to advanced - go as fast as your skill level allows. A few log jumps and some fun moguls. Short but can be ridden both clockwise and counter-clockwise for a decent 20km workout.

City has closed trails. May re-open. Will post if trails re-open. Currently only a 1.65 km loop.

Just started biking. I really liked this trail. It took me some time to learn different turns - it is easy to get lost. Two loops plus additional side trails - all connected. Good 15 km ride or more if you hit all possible ways. Considering that there is nothing else around this is my destination. Lots of fun. I enjoyed it.

5/5 for being the best trail in Windsor.
    10km - Altitude: 182 m - Speed 25km/h
Conditions are always great and trail is well maintained. Thick bush makes for a cooler ride, even on hot days.
Plenty of wild life in the area (mostly deer and a lot of different bird species). Trail is divided in 2 parts by train tracks. No trail markers but is very easy to navigate. This park is in the centre of an industrialized area, which isn't news to anyone from the Windsor/Detroit area. Unfortunately the park is facing a possible threat do to an urban industrial clash. Loosing it would be a continued blow to the wildlife and to the people who use, love and maintain it. Check this one if you haven't yet and please learn more about how you can be involved with preserving it. Cheers!

Not a technically challenging trail but fun none the less. The trail is really well laid out and weaves throughout the forest, no need for trail markers as its pretty obvious where the trail goes.

Perfection today... Just the right tackiness to get a solid grip at speed with some give to keep things interesting. Flow was amazing! No elevation on this track to drive up the heart rate, but an awesome place to work on XC speed and maneuvering skills. Throwing the bike around today at Black Oak was nothing short of awesome!

This is my local trail that I ride year round. A small group maintains the trail and are constantly improving it. About as much fun as you can have on a flat trail.

Great 11k singletrack, pretty flat but twisty, built up with berms in the right places and some nice jumps. This track is very well maintained while I was riding there was someone raking the leaves off the path. There also a cool pump track. Definitely a place to hit up if your in the area.

Excellent trail. Very well maintained. Good drainage so very ride-able when it's wet. South side is tighter and more technical than North. Organized rides Sunday mornings. Also Thursday nights leaving form Bicycle World on Grand Maris.
