First time back on a singletrack in a really long time, brought my friend for his first experience. We both really enjoyed Jakes Branch County Park's Blue and Yellow Trails. Highly recommend for anyone starting out and/or getting back into mountain biking. Very few people out during the week. The sandy areas are a challenging workout esp on the yellow trail and be careful with the short stumps and roots as mentioned in previous posts. Great ride close to home. Will definitely be back to ride it in the opposite direction.

Hit the blue trail today. First time here. Not a bad ride. Some sandy spots were not fun when going slow. But the trail was clean and well marked. A lot of roots and low and small stumps were sticking out of the ground so make sure you watch where you are going. Some hikers were out with their dogs but there were no issues. So areas were charred from a control burn a week ago. Even had that burnt smell. Looking forward to trying the yellow trail next time I am there.

Great beginner trail! Perfect for a first time mountain biker. It is a small trail system so it will not satisfy more experienced riders.

Good local beginner trail. Trail is sugar sand and pine needles. Mostly flat with some roots and stumps. Few hikers and no bikers encountered on trail. Today's tick count = 0 despite some overgrowth and previous infestation during a past runs there. I'm a beginner myself so no other trail to compare with at the moment.

Ok trail, lots of sugar sand. Great spot if you live close by. Easy trail, great for beginners. If you live more than 25 minutes away, and want a good trail just go to Allaire.

Title says Blue Trail prob should be titled Jake's Branch. Basic South Jersey single track that is sandier than most places in this region. If you are close by , why not. The Blue loop is about 3.5 miles. Good for beginner. My wife had fun.If you are more than 20 min away just hit Allaire.
