Mountain Biking Blueberry

#101 of 293 mountain bike trails in Pennsylvania

Some rocky segments but mostly fast and flowy. A lot of fun. Full trail is just over 2 miles.

Blueberry is a bi-directional trail in Moosic Mountain aka Dick and Nancy Eales Preserve. It flows best from the power lines down to the main lot. It can be ridden up as well from the main lot to the power lines. There are a lot of rocks and a few rock gardens. The views are great as well. For NEPA there is not a better trail IMO, especially ridden down. Just watch out for hikers.

Really great trail, with others branching off of it. I would highly recommend coming to this trail system, good 4 or 5 hour ride. Although rocky, it is a fun ride for all riding levels. If you want to extend you ride further the first right on the downhill portion about half way through will bring you down the waterfall loop with is full of roots, and amazing switchbacks. Make sure you keep your tire pressures on the upper end to avoid punctures.

This is a fun area for a quick ride. Some technical areas with short stints of rock gardens. Your blood gets pumping on the ride up, but the numerous single track trails leading into Blueberry trail on the way down is a lot of fun.

It's really 2 levels - the outside loop is intermediate, has some nice flow & swoop and views of the valley from up top. Then there's all those rocks and burnt shrubbery in the Monuments/Stonehenge/Conglomerate section, not far from parking lot. Bring yr A game for there or plan on walking a lot.

Also, the name of this area is not really Blueberry, it's Eales Preserve at Moosic Mountain or just Moosic. Blueberry is just one of the trails, the outside loop intermediate level one.

Hate these trails. So rocky it's like riding through a shark's mouth. It's a wonder I have any fillings. And it's ugly, mined up landscape. However, views are good.

Amazing views, lots of grippy conglomerate rock, some trails are like a playground of obstacles, beautiful trail system definitly worth checking out

Not for the beginner, blueberry is the easiest however still has technical sections.
