Getting there
The dirt access road on the southeast end of town to the is the entrance road to FMC park. Follow the dirt road across the Green River making your way south then east again past the red archery barn in Scotts Bottoms nature area. Head up the road east for about 2miles past the turn off to the shooting range to the trailhead on the left of the dirt road. This well defined ATV trail quickly turns into singletrack and meanders its way up the north side of the valley then across to the south side up and around the ridge. Next, the intermediate section of single track winds its way around several ridges to an overlook at which point you can turn around for an excellent out and back ride to your vehicle at the trailhead & back to town. Rad trail! It's got it all: Challenging climbs, drops, natural berms, and nice flowing single track. Mix up alternate routes with other SWMBA/Wilkins Peak trails to get a different ride every time.

Fire road up singletrack down = great combination!
Like the rest of the Wilkins System, it's hope desert with little to no shade and this is one of the longer/farther out trails so you can feel pretty isolated.

Fun and fast desert trail. Better to ride it clockwise if you're more into downhill. Better to be prepared on hot summer days, because no shade on the trails.

This trail is part of a group of trails called the Wilkins Peak Trails, set up by a coalition of government agencies and community groups. I rode the Brent & Mike's, Draino, Uncle Rico's and TNT trails. Brent & Mike's is the predominant trail and the others loop off of it. There are 3 parking areas here, A,B,C. I parked in B which has a large sign, bathroom and printed trail maps. Parking area C is where the directions in this post take you but there is nothing there just an open space. Most of the trail signs are in good shape and the variety of trails in the area are great. Brent & Mike's lists as a Blue and it was lots of fun with an even amount of uphill climbing with really fun downhill sections through washes, etc. The ladder bridges are on the harder Black trails like Uncle Rico's and TNT. This is high desert riding at its best and the area is very well maintained. For a downloadable PDF map check out the Green River Chamber of Commerce web site at: www.grchamber.com. My only issue was that this area is supposed to be closed to motorized vehicle but it seems that is not totally enforced as I saw tracks on several trails and ran into a couple dirtbikes at one spot.

Great workout at first with a gradual uphill for about a mile, then sweet single track with some fun down hills and a roller coaster down a wash with several berms
