Three miles up the Sawbill Trail from Downtown Tofte, to the Britton Peak trailhead.

Road the new Jackpot, begins @ Britton parking lot and ends 12.5 miles later at Lutsen Mountains (next to Pappa Charlies). You don't need to ride the entire length you can ride it up and back. It's one of the coolest trails i've biked. My 14 year old rode with me and did great. Saw expect riders and intermediate. Nothing too dangerous, but lots of trees and berms. FYI, if you're beginning on the Lutsen Mountain side expect 30-40 minutes of pretty much up hill riding. Not so fun. I'm begin at Britton. Better for a short ride and/or if you're riding the entire trail. Happy riding.
Thank |Although the mileage may seem limited (you can always do the trails twice), the diversity of offerings from the Short-Stacker for beginners, to Cross-Cut for intermediate, and the Skookum for advance riders are all worth it. The new Flume trails is simply amazing and certainly a highlight of my trip. Lot'st of rocks (not my favourite) and bridges. Great trail system.
Thank |Fun rocky trail with teknecal up hill
Thank |--fun ride, rocks, bridges and well maintained. Only wish it was longer....
Thank |Nice warm up trail. not too long. Has some nice board walks, still interesting.
Thank |Nice ride eather direction. Climbs up and cuts across the near side of peak, then exits into Short Stacker, eather way. nice bridges on the starting climb, going CW, then nice flow going across the mountain.

Thank |Really rocky, Challenging climb, and flowy descents.
Thank |I had a grand time knocking out this wonderful North Shore single track park. It's a little small but they have plans in progress for more then double the milage, so if you're , like me, not there to dig, be sure to drop $ in the strong box. Starting with the short stack (easy) trail I found it still interesting and was a little afraid to move on to intermediate and hard. Indeed these were progressively more difficult, and rocky, but very doable. Skookum was a nice challenge both aerobically and technically (for an old guy) no big jumps or drops, plenty of rocks. system also has many bridges and board walks, and more being built, in a few areas that don't drain well.
Thank |Wife and I rode this loop before they completed the intermediate and advanced loops. It was short but sweet!
