Mountain Biking Broken Boyfriend

****   Add a review
#485 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado

The Broken Boyfriend trail makes the Whipple Trail System worth riding. Essentially, the other trails here only serve as a variety of ways to access either end of the Broken Boyfriend Trail.
This trail rolls along through the pinions and scrubby pines, on sandy, dry soil and over rough, rounded rocks. This trail is just a fun ride, and while it's not crazy-technical, there're still plenty of rocks to keep things interesting!

Challenging intermediate trail with some solid advanced moves sprinkled in. Some tight and twisty, some swoopy, but all fun. The map indicates the "preferred rider direction" is south to north, but it looked like it would be equally fun either way.

Short but a great intermediate to int trail. Honest ride with a few challenging moves. The easy climb up gravel rd 304 gets you to the S end on the trail (recommended route). BB then tops out with very little climb, with a nice flow ride back down to rd 304. Trail = net descent. You can make laps if you want more.
