Mountain Biking Brown County Reforestation Camp Trails
#21 of 388 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
The trail has a lot of everything, slow technical tight areas, fast downhill, extremely bumpy uphill, flat and smooth. I usually ride this trail every night after work, takes me about an hour, but i don't ride the whole singletrack.

From Green Bay take 41/141 North to Exit 176 Sunset Beach Road. At the bottom of the ramp take a left. Go about 2.42 miles and take a right onto Reforestation Road. Go about 1.51 miles down Reforestation Road until you see the NEW ZOO on the right, and parking on the left. You will need a different pass to ride these trails, this is not a state trail. If you go into the NEW Zoo visitor center you can get more information there. I believe it is $3 daily and $15 annual.
This is a fun trail and great for the beginner.
Thank |Great place! Single track trails had good signage and was easy to follow! I highly recommend and for sure going back!
Thank |I've only raced here, so I haven't seen the entire network of trails, nor have I paid attention to if routes are well marked. That said, there is little elevation change here and the trails are very flowy, and sandy. I would call them beginner with some intermediate spots with roots. They ride faster than other mountain bike trails.
Thank |Very fast fun single track! Very little tecnical but is made up for by keeping the trail fast. Very well taken care of well worth a 45 min drive for me .
Thank |Great trail to get out on and de-stress. Overall, not overly technical, but could be very fast for speed demons. Plenty of signage and great for someone beginning Singletrack.
Thank |green single track route is some nice single track. no big hills, but enough ups and downs to make it interesting. very well maintained. There were a couple sections temporarily closed to dry out. very well marked, and maps posted frequently.
Thank |Fun, fast and flowy. Not technical by any means but speed makes up for that. Can get some good mileage in after only a couple laps.
Thank |A nice afternoon hour to hour and a half ride, a few nice curved sections and no big climbs, had a decent flow and rhythm through the ride. Take the green loop and skip the shortcuts it's worth the ride.
Thank |This trail is awesome! Rode it yesterday after work. Perfect single track trail. Its challenging, fun but not dangerous like Baird Creek
Thank |First time up here. I loved it. If your like me and like curvey rockless trails you will love this 12 mile oneway singletrack loop.
Thank |As of 5/11 single track is open, dry, and great for riding.
Thank |Great trail system. Everything was clearly marked. All one way trails if I'm not mistaken, which is good because first time I went there, they were not and we almost ran into someone while they were on downhill. Not too strenuous, rocky or very technical. Took our two kids who were 9 and 11 at the time and they went the entire loop. Had a blast!
Thank |Nice flowy singletrack, which I rode during visit to Green Bay. Nothing difficult, so even beginners can enjoy it. If I'd leave near it would be my favorite afterwork ride.
Thank |My 2nd mt bike trail after Jacksonville FL's Hannah park. I'm a beginner so don't feel qualifie to judge the difficulty of the singletrack. As an OTR trucker I look forward to biking the nations trails. Brown Co. trail was incredibly scenic, yet challenging..forget checking out the scenery while navigating singletrack! Trails well organized, maintained, and marked.
Thank |Awesome trail. Well marked and very fun and flowy. Great for beginner/intermediate riders wanting to progress your skills. I will definately go back
Thank |Only rode the single track loop so far, was a great ride. Not too hard, not too easy, 10.5 miles of goodness
Thank |Fast w. roots, no rock gardens, good flow. Watch out for stumps just barely off trail. Some short climbs but there always seems to be a payoff. Looks like there is some new singletrack for 2012 that is rough right now with many roots and mounds. Trails very well marked, note that for 2012 the trails run in the opposite direction of the arrows on the paper maps. As of 5.11.12 the furthest north section was closed due to mud and standing water.
Thank |fun single track, well marked. no real challenging trails to be found. a good place to go and ride as hard as you want, or take it easy on the two track trails.* Review edited 11/5/2011
Thank |I've ridden the 'camp since 1981. A lot has changed there. Now it is a very manicured, stay on trail ONLY family friendly park. The singletrack is sweet. The two track is gentle and flowing. Zoo in the middle of it all keeps some family members happy. No real challenging terrain tho.
Thank |Fast and tight with some sandy patches. This is a great trail system with help close by at the NEW Zoo. Host to a WORS series race each year and well maintained by a local club. Easily rode with a hardtail.* Review edited 8/29/2010
