Mountain Biking Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain Road
#262 of 283 mountain bike trails in New Mexico
This road is the main route up the northern side of Northside. Although it is completely composed of dirt, its incredibly steep grade makes it very difficult. Three sections are called "the Mothers" because of their extreme grade. Once you achieve the higher reaches of the mountain, the road becomes less consistently steep; however, this doesn't mean no steep sections exist. It terminates at the top of Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain, a mountain about 11,500 feet tall. Now you can enjoy your downhill ride back to the trailhead!
