A dirt biking ramp situated in a wooded area, surrounded by tall trees and sandy ground. The ramp appears to be homemade, with a smooth surface leading to an incline. Sunlight filters through the foliage, creating a dappled light effect on the ramp and the surrounding ground. Bum Trails mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking Bum Trails

Singletrack trails through an oak/palmetto hammock. The area has alot of small hills for Melbourne. There is also a gully type depression that runs along the tracks just inside the woods. I'm guessing it's where they got fill to build up the tracks back in the day. There are some drops into this gully and some bridges and other fun things to play on along with the trails. Overall a fun ride, but not too long, it's on a limited amount of land.

Getting there
Park in the Planet Fitness parking lot on the corner of Sarno and Apollo. Go east for about a 1/4 mile and go south off road along the railroad tracks. Follow the railroad tracks south past the water reclaimation faciliy, look for the trailhead to break on the right next to a canal.

i checked out thses trails over the weekend, only because i live a few blocks away. trails is very overgrown, and trashed out, met some of the bums who were fairly nice and surprised to even see me out there. i would say the most challenging part was riding on the gravel next to the tracks.

This trail is not a trail system anymore, it is trails for the homeless & bums (with or without bikes). Technically, there is no one allowed riding there bikes or to be out there, as this is municipal property and TRESPASSING is NOT allowed. The homeless & bums are overlooked by the City of Melbourne & MPD. The so called DJ's that are there are crap. Used to be a BMX system years back.

Rode it today briefly. Not really impressed. Did see a group of homeless sitting in a circle drinking beers, hence the name of the trail.
