Mountain Biking Burg Frankenstein

****   Add a review
#15 of 151 mountain bike trails in Germany
#5,476 in the world

You can start at the top, by the castle ruins, and have some fun with some "ok" single track with minor drops and jumps. However, once you have gotten to the middle and bottom sections (where everyone camps), the intensity climbs quickly toward dangerous.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trail. From the castle parking lot, I rode out the entrance and took a right down a log path. That road hit a fork and I went left into a solid single track. It looked like others had built the trails up significantly with multiple paths criss-crossing down. About half way through, one can stop and go back up to try a different trail. The trails end by crossing a bridge and right next to Frankenstein Bikes UG. It's a good idea to park a car here as a shuttle back to the top. But, you can bike up the logging road back to the top if preferred.

If you ride straight down from the castle, you can do it in less the 20 minutes easy.

Nice traks but still to easy, some nice drops and some single and good dubble trails.
