the trail is pretty easy to follow. it does intersect a couple of time with orv tails. take a good look at the map before you go out. Right after the lake there are two ways to go take the way with a somwhat steep hill. then at the bottom of the hill on the other side take a right that is just before the turn to the left. pay close attention to this bacuse by the end of the hill you have enough speed to easily miss it.
the trail is double track and actually deceiving hard. it was mostly made for cross country skiing and hiking. whick mean that there is a good amount of sand and grass. it is only 5 miles but dont let that fool you it was eaily get you cooking. there are not rocks roots or anything else so if you want to you can leave the helmet and gloves in the car and defiantly lock out your shock.
