Hard to believe I am the one adding this trail since I was visiting when I rode it. As a result, I am no expert on the trail system, but I rode Yucca, Porta Potty, Christmas Tree and Christmas Tree Extension, and 10 Bridges. None were extremely difficult, but had some fun sections to keep you on your toes. There seems to be lots of natural rock gardens with sharp, jagged rock. There were several creek crossings, some with rock bridges you could cross on. A few simple log piles for good measure. All and all, a fun network of trails from what I experienced, but you do have to be a C.A.R.P club member ($15 annual membership) and sign in and out since it is at Camp Robinson, which is a National Guard base in North Little Rock.
I'm an old man who recently got back into Mtn biking with the proliferation of trails around. The Camp has a variety of trails from easy single track to more challenging. It is never crowded & as others have said easy to get on now. For me 10 bridges, Yucca, Porta Potty are very rideable with scattered rock gardens, some roots & doable climbs. Did 5 miler yesterday & it was just a tad harder for me but gorgeous scenery. Also agree with others that the signage needs work. Been over there a lot lately & still get lost!
Thank |In the last couple of days my wife and I have road 10 Bridges, Yucca and Turn Turn Turn. We enjoyed all three. We are fairly new to mountain biking and these are all 3 green level trails. The gate policy has recently changed. It's free to ride but you need your DL, vechile registration and insurance. When you check in. The process only takes a couple of minutes. This is seems to be a great trail system.
Thank |This is SO underutilized for a really top notch trail system. Rode for 80 minutes or so on Labor Day and saw 1 person at a trail intersection. Very much enjoy each trip to Robinson only way to get a 5 on this trail is to update the signage...some of it is confusing to me but after riding 3 times I understand more.
Thank |Nice trail with a few difficult sections nothing that an intermediate/advanced rider couldn't handle. Signage out on the trail needs work. A little vague on how the trail flows back to the trailhead.
Thank |Awesome trail network in north little rock, probably the best in the area, trails are well maintained and most have a pretty good flow. The main description is wrong though you only have to purchase a $25 sportsman's pass to access the area which is good for a year and we'll worth the price.
Thank |Amazing trail system. Trails range from flowy hard pack to brutally rocky, flat to big switch back climbs. If you stay closer to the airport, the trails are easy. If you move further to the west, the trails get progressively harder. Seriously, the trails range from very easy to expert. In all, there's about 40 miles of trails.
Thank |HUGE system of trails. Most are beginner to intermediate, with the tougher stuff hidden in way in the back. As of 7-20-14, a lot of the trails were becoming quite overgrown, so invest in some serious bug spray or you will ride out with some Lyme disease.
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT AT THE GUARD SHACK WHEN YOU LEAVE!!!!!
Thank |These trails are located on an Army Base in North Little Rock. As stated above you must be caring a C.A.R.P membership card and you must stop at the Police station before riding these trails. This trail really has a little bit of everything so don't miss it. A lot of places on this trail are well packed and smooth which makes for some really nice riding. There are a few places that would be considered technical and require some really good handling skills, but for the most part this trail was built for speed. For more information visit www.mtbark.com
Thank |Where are all of the Arkansas trail reviews? This trail system is a salient example of a local club, CARP, working diligently to build and maintain sweet singletrack on public/govt land. Unfortunately, part of that union means losing trail when the National Guard needs more space (R.I.P. Berm trail). Nevertheless, this is the quintessential central Arkansas trail system with 40+ miles of singletrack. Some are smooth and winding. Others are packed full of goat heads and death cookies. There is a lot of climbing out here, and a lot of rocks, roots, and river crossings. Expect wildlife encounters with many dear and some suicidal squirrels. Hunters are also allowed during bow, musket, and rifle seasons, so beware. Don't wear camo or put antlers on your bike. After 9/11, it has become more difficult to gain access (CARP membership, checkin, etc..), but all that adds no more than 5 minutes to what will be hours of fun on your bike. These trails are not easy...in fact, some of them are very techy, especially when those rocks and roots get wet. Support CARP and keep these trails going...this is some of the sweetest singletrack you can find so close to a metro area.
Thank |An awesome network of trails with something for everyone. Would give it a 5 if access was a bit easier.
