Mountain Biking Campbellton Creek Nature Preserve - Sourwood Trail

Machine cut, flowy trails with many grade reversals. Not a lot of climbing which makes this a good choice for beginner riders. The main loop is about 2.5 miles long with a cut-off option about halfway through. Well signed and a nice trailhead parking area.

The first reason I love this trail is it's only 7 miles from my house. It's a short trail consisting of 2 loops. It's only 2.6 but I've never seen a trail designed to pack so much punch in such a short track. Fun and great flow. There aren't any technical sections or much climbing but there are some really fun flow sections. I usually ride it both ways to total 4.6 miles. On a side note, this is a pretty isolated park. I rarely see anyone out here and if I do it's some people sitting in a car with dark tinted windows. I've never had any problems out here, but it is close to some areas with crime.
