Mountain Biking Canal Trail
#199 of 301 mountain bike trails in New York
The trail goes east along the Erie Canal. Some parts are paved, and others are stone. The trail follows the canal system and is a decent ride for any bike. The trail appears to end behind the Fort Herkimer Church, where you turn and go back.
Note: At the church, if you take 5s east and veer left down the dead-end road, that road will turn into an old railroad bed and bring to all the way to Lock 18, where another trail was found (see Unknown Trail near Little Falls)
