Mountain Biking Cannonsburg Ski Area
#32 of 322 mountain bike trails in Michigan
Mostly single track. First part is all up hill and a serious leg burner. The rest varies from tight technical trees to down hill sections to banked turns to hill climbs (not in that order but it has a ton of variation) Do it more than once to get a full work out. The second time will be faster. You can bypass some of the trails/ loops by going straight on a two track. If you always stay left you should do the full 11 miles. There is also a downhill course and a skills area.

Get off 131 at the west river drive exit and turn left onto west river drive. Take west river drive until it turns into cannonsburg road and stay on cannonsburg road until you see the entrance for cannonsburg ski area on your right. When you pull into the drive stay toward the left on the pavement and you will see a mmba kiosk with a trail map and other info.
Great variety between natural XC and skills park.
Thank |Review: Very fun trails with lots of hills. The trail itself is pretty well made with some sketchy sections. The only problem is sand and lots of it. The best part by far is a skill park with jumps, drop offs, and rollers of all sizes. There are some so small you can go 2 mph over them and be fine, but some large enough you drop/ fly over 20ft.
Thank |Well maintained trail with some steep climbs and fun downhill.
Thank |Climb baby climb. That's how I felt the first time out, but overall this is a great trail!
Thank |Flows pretty well. Carry a map with you or take a pic of the trail map because the markers are all numbers. Skills area is fun with a bunch of different lines to session. A lot of trash by the picnic table and overflowing garbage can in the skills area. Would be a great time hitting the skills area with some buddies.
Thank |Anyone know where the skills course is? Didn't see it when I rode the trail nor any signs for it.
Thank |Serious workout in places. Definitely the place to go if you're looking to up the anty on MTB stunts.
Thank |Really sweet skill park and some intense downhills!
Thank |Hard hard hard. It's a series of loops and each loop is completely different. Not for intermediate or beginners. The downhills are nuts!
Thank |Trail is now 10 miles long
Thank |super fun trail, tightly wound, you can see other riders. It was super cool to pull up and see people skiing and biking at the same place on the same day, pure michigan!
Thank |Wow...great trail. Tough climbs, fun downhills thru the woods. Really neat skills section that i am too old to do. Rode it a day after rain so it was wet but packed. Will definitely be back
Thank |Fun trail with some sandy spots. There are a lot of roots so watch out but other than that its fun fun.
Thank |Love this trail. A bit tougher than others in the area. Climb the double or the face for an extra bit of training. Great trail especially paired with SGA.
Thank |Simple, smooth and fast. Very easy to find and navigate the trail system.
Thank |Pretty fun trail with awesome features and jumps.
Thank |The trail has received a lot of TLC lately and is really coming alive. Some good leg burning climbs and some fun short downhills. It is not very technical so a few laps would be in order. Its around 6 miles long of smooth packs dirt
Thank |This is a fun trail. Good flow, some climbs and fun down hill sections. This is not a real technical trail, but a fun ride.
Thank |Fun trail, a few decent climbs with fun downhills.
