Mountain Biking Canyon Rim Trail
#79 of 112 mountain bike trails in West Virginia
Larger, lollipop loop. Ride up the rough and rocky gravel road, past the picnic area to the next intersection (Olson Tower Rd.). Go left on Olson Tower Rd. and ride to the end at Olson Tower. Note you will pass Canyon Rim Trail just a couple hundred feet short of Olson Tower on your left. After enjoying the Tower and views from the top (you can climb to the top of this Fire Tower), then ride back down to Canyon Rim and begin the fun, technical ride back to the vehicle. Unless you like punishment, do not ride this trail from Davis, up the mountain and back. Way too many road miles.

Take whatever route gets you to Thomas, WV which is just 2 miles from Davis, WV. Once in Thomas, take Douglas Rd. through the very small community of Douglas. Park along the road just after you go to gravel rd. This will make the loop worth riding. If you only want the short 3 to 3.5 mile ride on Canyon Rim, drive to the top of the mountain. When you see a picnic area on your left near the top park there. The trail comes out at that picnic area. If you do the larger lollipop type ride you will start at the bottom of the mountain.
