A few buddies and myself have been working on this trail as our pet project. We have built a few shore stunts (a 5-foot ladder drop, creekbed wallride, a few jumps) and have lots of plans for the future. This is a downhill trail with some very fun technical sections including a rut section that will throw you over the handlebars before you can say ouch! There are some decent dirt, shore, and boulder jumps. One very important note: This trail should be run with a SHUTTLE!!! Unless you want to pedal your 30+ lb downhill bike up a 5 mile gravel road, park a car at the bottom using the directions i have included above. The short section of the canyons trail ends after a creek crossing and the trail will split left and right. Take the right trail uphill to your car.

Trail is no longer running...original builders' work was fine with forest service, and was enjoyed by many. Someone came along and built large stunts that made the forest service upset, resulting in the closure of the trail. Not sure if it was legal to ride this trail originally, but now if you are caught, I bet there would be consequences...* Review edited 7/9/2011
Thank |Is this trail open? There was a pile of landscaping waste at the trailhead, and "no trespassing" signs when I went there (April 2011). I walked down a little and the trail looks overgrown. Or is this not the trail?
