Mountain Biking Cape Wanbrow Reserve

****   Add a review
#3 of 41 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
#7,631 in the world

There are around 8 km of tracks crammed into this small area with a good range of grades from easy to expert. There are several climbing tracks to get you to the high points, and multiple downhill options.

There are stunning views out over the blue Pacific Ocean.

Recent developments at Cape Wanbrow by the local club over the last 18 months have resulted in a vast improvement of the fun factor at "The Cape' as it's known by locals. After a couple of climbing options the views from the top are first class while you take a breather. Then head downhill on one of half a dozen options. Jumps, roll overs and bermed corners all feature but are mostly avoidable. There is a mapboard at the entry gate on Test Street.
Please note: This is a shared use council reserve so please ride with control and respect for walkers and dog walkers who use this reserve too.
