Mountain Biking Cartier Park
#110 of 322 mountain bike trails in Michigan
This trail is 3.5 miles long and is a mixture of tight twisty and moderately fast singletrack. It is sometimes referred to as the "dragon" because the gps track resembles the winged creature. The trail is considered intermediate because of the tight up and down sections but does not have any difficult climbs. It can be ridden in either direction.

1 mile north of Ludington Ave. on M-116 (Lakeshore Dr.) to Bryant Rd. Then 1/2 east to Rath Ave. Parking lot is on the corner of Bryant & Rath.
Pleasant singletrack loop with a bit of variety, a bit of elevation change, well maintained, good signage. The soil in the area is sandy so I expect it would dry quickly after rain but we did not encounter many spots where the trail was so sandy that our tires bogged down. There is a fun little dirt jump track hidden away next to the trail in the middle of the park. Along with the singletrack Cartier Park has a lake, a campground with a playground, and a dog park.
