This is a good family friendly place to ride that can please just about anyone. The paved loop is appropriate for small children and there's plenty of off-road trails for the older ones. Some of the carriage roads would be good for kids, but some may be a bit hilly for the littlest ones. There are some double and singletrack trails to be found but the climbs can be steep which, in turn, makes for fun, fast descents. My 9-year old easily handled the bits of singletrack we rode with a couple hike-a-bike sections. There are lots of thorny vines growing along the singletrack so be cautious if you're not running tubeless. Added bonus, if you bring your fatbike, you can ride the beach.
Thank |The main 3-mile Loop is about as good as a family bike ride can get. The views when you get to the main house are spectacular and it's just a beautiful ride through the woods on a paved surface. If you want to venture off the paved surface onto the trails the ones leading down to the beach are intermediate at best and are a blast going down but are pretty tough coming back up. Overall these are some of my favorite trails that I've been on to date. I think I'm partial to it because I spent a lot of time here with my kids riding on the pavement it's just a great family place to go to.
Thank |Pretty Easy layout, more fun than tough
Thank |Great views.....and be tough coming back up from the beach depending what trail you take....Great for hike or trail run too
