This is a ridiculously beautiful ride, climbing from about 9950' on the south end and 9500' on the north, up to 12,500' at Hope Pass. The south portion (Sheep Gulch) has stunning views of the north end of the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness areas, looking directly into the Mount Missouri, Huron Peak, Mount Belford and Oxford. This is steep country. Get ready for some major hike-a-bike, but oh, are the downhills worth it. The two trailheads are Sheep Gulch TH on the south end and Willis Gulch TH on the north. It is a little more than 6.5 miles from trailhead to trailhead. If you are going to attempt this ride, make sure you are conditioned well-enough and come prepared for adventure.

I've only ridden part of this trail: the chunk running along the shores of Twin Lakes. The other section of the trail looks brutally steep, but topping out at about 13,000 feet it has to be absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to check out the rest of this route!
