Mountain Biking Charlton Lake Trail
#238 of 306 mountain bike trails in Oregon
Charlton Lake Trail
This trail skirts along Charlton Lake, continues past junctions such as the Round Meadow Trail #21.1, a spur to Found Lake, and the Metolious-Windigo Trail #99. It then ascends steeply to The Twins for a panoramic view of the Cascades. A loop return can be made via the Pacific Crest Trail #2000. Mosquitoes can be fierce until late summer.
Trails in this area offer fun challenges, and terrain for skilled and fit mountain bikers. Riding beyond the Round Meadow Trail to The Twins is not recommended, due to a sustained steep climb. via fs.usda.gov
