Les Gets is a town in a deep valley in the European Alps in France south of Geneva. Two ski lifts go up into the mountains from downtown Les Gets - one on each side of the valley. The most popular is Chavannes which goes up the south side of the valley.
There are a couple of intermediate or advanced downhill rides from the top of the lift back down to the base. They are excellent trails with huge sweeping berms and numerous jumps with flat tops and reasonable landing pads. There is no easy track and no expert or extreme trails.
The lift on the other side of the valley, called Mont Chery has two good advanced to extreme downhill trails but no other trails of interest.
From the top of Chavannes you can access the Nauchets lift which as a great selection of intermediate and advanced downhill trails that go back to the base of the lift. The top of the Nauchets lift is higher than the top of the Chavannes lift - so it's an easy ride back.
From the top of either the Chavannes or Nauchets lifts you can also ride to Morzine and from there the entire Portes du Soleil area with its dozens of lifts and hundreds of miles of world beating downhill and cross country trails.
The downhill trails at Les Gets are stunning. The most popular are based around the Chavannes ski lift and another lift you can reach from it called Nauchets.
Thank |When I was all the trails were in need of a bit of love - they were a little tired and skid bumpy. But they are great trails with lots of variety and plenty of their infamous deep swooping berms and table top jumps.
