Mountain Biking Chuck Wagon
#13 of 417 mountain bike trails in Arizona
Chuck Wagon was adopted for mountain biking in the spring of 2012. It incorporates the original Chuck Wagon trail with what was once known locally as "Gunslinger." It is laid out in the standard of modern mountain bike trail building and flows nicely. This trail winds its way up and down through a variety of different landscapes, a true display of Sedona's diversity. This trail is fun in both directions and could be ridden as an out and back, or can be linked to Mescal and Long Canyon to make a loop
It is now a new "must ride" for Sedona mountain biking. Do it! You'll like it!

Drive up Dry Creek Road (off 89A at the west end of Sedona) to the junction with FR --- (which goes up to Devils's Arch and Vultee Canyon). Turn onto this dirt road and park along the shoulder. Note: at the end of 2012 a major trailhead construction project was underway a quarter of a mile up this road so you may not have to park on the dirt.
