This trail can be accessed about a half mile (about 750 m) from the beginning (bottom) of the Upper Basin trail. It is easy to miss the first time, but if you reach the little creek crossing at the half mile point (800 m), then you have gone about 30 m too far. The creek crossing is your landmark. With a little photo interpretation work on Google the first time, you won't miss it.
